This game includes flashing colors and lights BLOCKEM Built for S&box Game Jam #3. Made solo, with love, by LAG_SPIKE. Game should be playable on Keyboard and Mouse. It should also be playable on Controller but the UI doesn't reflect that yet. WHAT'S GOING ON? You are an elite robot engineer, and you have entered THE UNDISPUTED ROBOT CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WORLD. Your task is simple: build a robot that lasts the most rounds. BUILD Craft your robot from its head, torso, arms and legs, paint its chassis, name it and cover it in decals. Each part will shape how you play the game. PROGRAM Code blocks scroll across the board toward the edge. Place pieces of one to five blocks in six colours and build connected groups of the same color. When any part of a group scrolls off the edge, the whole group clears and scores. Groups of five or more pay out, and every block past that is worth more than the last. Anything smaller costs you points. Every round runs on a clock. Reach the target score before time runs out or your run is over. Anything left on the board when the clock stops still gets scored. Hit double the target and you MAX OUT, ending the round early with a bonus.  FIGHT Send your robot into the arena and watch it swing. Will your Robot be up to the test? FIRMWARE AND MALWARE The game injects blocks of its own. Firmware pays you: White rewards every different colour that touches it, Black rewards filling the ring around it, and Gold welds different colours into one group. Malware only gets in your way: Grey takes up space, a Zip Bomb destroys anything placed around it, and a Virus bites back when it clears. UPGRADE Spend your winnings in the store. Build a Better Robot. Fight for longer.  You can always build a robot that lasts ONE MORE ROUND. If you have any feedback, please let me know. I intend to bring everything I can out of this game.
