Mug them, rob them, fight the police that come for you, and turn dirty money into clean money before someone takes it off you. Up to 8 players share the same streets - and the same police. HEAT is not a heist game. It's the bottom rung: the guy on the corner with a bat, working his way up to a pistol, a suit, and a table at the casino. The loop Take. Peds carry cash. Businessmen carry more. Knock them down and pick it up. Run. Every crime raises your heat. One star is a patrol taking an interest; five is the whole precinct. Break line of sight and stay hidden, or get cuffed and lose half your pocket. Hide it. Cash in your pocket can be taken. Cash in the bank can't. Deposit it at the ATM, buy TerryCoin and ride the price, or wash it at the laundromat. Spend it. Weapons, upgrades, clothes, a skateboard. Or lose it all at the slots and roulette. Repeat, bigger.
